Relationship Officer

Department: Personal Banking
Location: Rochester Hills, MI

Job Summary
A Relationship Officer will be responsible to drive and generate sales leads, to grow established and new relationships in order to grow market share for Oxford Bank through frequent participation in business development activities and Center of Influences.

Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain close relationships with business partners, such as Business Bankers, Personal Bankers and Treasury Management to connect to generate. Make regular business development calls to enhance new business or improve services to existing clients.
• Initiate sales through gaining an understanding of our client’s financial needs and identifying ways to effectively recommend Oxford Bank’s products and services.
• Responsible and accountable for opening Oxford Bank’s products/services i.e. consumer/business checking, savings, money markets and certificate of deposit accounts accurately.
• Generate new loans, and deposits within market.
• Identify centers of influence, networking opportunities and other referral sources to continue to generate small business within market.
• Demonstrate strong customer experience skills and the ability to resolve problems and prevent customer dissatisfaction.

Business Development:
• Focus on enhancing customer relationships through referrals.
• Collaborates with other internal business partners to provide comprehensive solutions to customers financial needs.
• Participate in community activities to enhance the Bank’s image and develop additional business and referral sources.
• Responsible for market research to identify new business opportunities; new prospects and new ideas.

The Relationship Officer will:
Be a Leader in promoting our Service Environment: Build and promote the bank’s brand, drive sales and promote overall ownership and accountability for improving the customer experience.
Receive sales leadership and training to ensure growth through accountability, reward, and recognition to drive outstanding sales and customer experience results.
Ensure our customers are extremely satisfied with every interaction.
The Relationship Officer will be expected to live by Oxford Bank’s core values daily.

Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Previous success in financial services sales. Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills both written and verbal.

*This position will comply with all BSA compliance laws and regulations including the Bank’s BSA policy and procedures.
