Job Summary
Compliance Coordinator will assist in maintaining the Banks Compliance Management System (CMS) by coordinating with our outsourced Compliance Officer.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for effectively communicating with various departments to provide responses to compliance reviews, follow-up remediation reviews, and any other items requiring Compliance Officer review or approval.
Responsible for working with Compliance Officer to communicate with lines of business and senior management regarding monitoring results and documentation.
Accountable to assist Compliance Officer to ensure that Bank is following legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
Responsible to facilitate review by Compliance Officer of all new products, systems, or processes.
Responsible for assisting Compliance Officer in supporting various departments by collecting and coordinating internal/external audits and exams.
Assists in implementing and maintaining internal audit policy and procedures.
Accountable for assisting and supporting related departments with compliance projects, as needed.
Responsible for being involved in and communicating to Compliance Officer projects and initiatives throughout the Bank.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required to effectively work with employees at all levels and banking agencies
Demonstrates a proficiency with various compliance software tools and systems relating to the Banks compliance.
Ability to work in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. )
Must be detail-oriented, able to work as a team and work independently.
Education and Experience
Minimum of one to two years of banking experience
High School Diploma
Compliance knowledge preferred but not required.
